PHOENIX — Phoenix - The start of a new school year is getting close and if your child is an athlete, getting a sports physical is on the to-do list. A unique urgent care clinic is helping ease the cost by offering free sports physicals.

USCareWays is a walk-in clinic inside Terminal 4 at Sky Harbor and is open to travelers, airport employees and the general public.

Every weekend through August you can bring your family in for a free physical, which ends up being about a $50 cost savings per patient.

Nurses say it'll take about 15-minutes for a full work-up. Short-term parking is $4 an hour, so the clinic says that's still far less than the cost of a full priced physical.

You can find the clinic inside the Drugs and More store at the C-gates.

It's open year-round to treat anyone who may get off a flight and doesn't feel well or needs an enzyme shot or hydration IV drip after a long vacation before boarding.

Nurses say it's convenient for the thousands of airport employees to get a checkup on breaks.

They also do x-rays on site to treat sprains and strains that can happen while you're traveling.
