Woman dies after being hit by two vehicles in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian.

Officers say it happened Friday night near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road.

A 28-year-old woman was crossing Thomas Road mid-block when she was hit, according to Phoenix police.

The vehicle was being driven by an 86-year-old man.

Officials say the woman was struck and went up over the vehicle and then landed on the roadway.

She was then hit by a second vehicle being driven by a 61-year-old man.

The woman was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Her name hasn’t been released by police.

Both drivers remained at the scene and did not show signs of impairment, according to police.

The investigation remains ongoing.
