PHOENIX — Toso’s Sports Bar & Grill was busted Wednesday, accused of illegal gambling practices by the Arizona Department of Liquor and Attorney General’s Office.

The bar and grill, located near the I-17 and Union Hills Drive, had been under investigation for approximately seven months.

A flier provided by investigators shows Toso’s advertising themselves as a gambling, social club that is for “members only.”

Officials say illegal gambling devices and proceeds will be submitted to the Attorney General’s Office pending charges.

Several suspects could face charges up to a class-five felony in relation to the gambling ring. Charges also potentially include illegal control of an enterprise, promotion and benefiting from gambling, and possession of a gambling device.

"We take our responsibilities of protecting the public, regulating the gaming industry and ensuring compliance with the Arizona Tribal-State Gaming Compacts seriously," said James Ashley, Interim Director, ADG. "Business owners who participate in illegal gambling operations on their premises are subject to criminal investigation and risk forfeiture of their liquor and other business licenses."
