PHOENIX — An officer-involved shooting is under investigation in Phoenix.

Authorities say it happened Friday around 10 p.m. near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home.

The Phoenix Police Department says officers were called to a neighborhood for reports of a man with a gun.

When they arrived they spotted the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Omar Luna, matching the description walking outside in the neighborhood.

As the officers approached Luna he ran toward a house and fired a gun once he reached the door, according to police.
