PHOENIX — A Phoenix rescue group has taken in a new member after a sheep was found wandering alone near 7th Street and Glendale Avenue in Phoenix.
The owner of a business in the area was alerted to the sheep Sunday, which was walking outside his building.
After making calls to police and animal shelters, he eventually got in touch with Sky Sanctuary Rescue in Scottsdale.
The sheep was safely contained and transported to the The Backyard Barnyard, a nonprofit rescue in Phoenix.
The sheep will be taken in and will need to be treated for injuries and will need care.
