Sentencing is set for Friday for two people who pleaded guilty to the 2012 daycare death of a two-year-old girl.

Ryan Reed and Allison Clement pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the death of Savannah Cross.

Reed and Clement ran an unlicensed daycare in Phoenix and were caring for Cross when she died, according to previous ABC15 reports.

Reed admitted to stomping on Cross, court records said.

Cross’ mother left her with Reed and Clement for days at a time, Cross’ father and grandmother said.

“Tears will be flowing” at the sentencing, Stephen Cross, Savannah’s father, said.

Stephen and his mother, Cathy Cross, plan to speak at the sentencing.

“He is my only son,” Cathy said of Stephen.

“[Savannah] was my only grandchild.”

Stephen said that he and Savannah’s mother shared custody of Savannah before her death and it was the mother's time with the girl when she died.

Savannah’s mother could not be reached for comment.
