When you give to Operation Santa Claus, your generosity extends to people from all walks of life -- like the Montano family in Phoenix.

The family of six searched for answers for years, after their oldest son, Angel Jr., was diagnosed with autism.

"By his second birthday, the milestones he should have reached, they were delayed," said Valerie Montano.

The Montano's spent years trying to figure out how to understand Angel Jr.'s behavior, and thought they were alone until they found the Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center.

The organization provided resources for the family, and most importantly, support.

"That makes me feel good that there are people out there like that that will open up their hearts, open their doors like that to families like mine," said Angel Montano.
