A man who spent 16 years in prison for a drive-by shooting was arrested again accused of another shooting on Thanksgiving.

According to court documents, Lovette Sharmaine Scott fired six rounds from a .45 caliber handgun into a home on the evening of Nov. 26.

Twelve people were inside the home and three others were in the driveway when Scott opened fire, police said in their report. Aside from one person being cut from broken glass, no other injuries were reported.

Police said Scott's vehicle, a gold-colored Toyota, was involved in a crash on Dec. 9 although he wasn't involved in it. However, police did find several .45 caliber rounds.

He was arrested eight days later.

He was booked into jail on counts of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault and discharging of a firearm.

Online prison records show Scott was released from prison in September 2013. He was arrested in October on a weapons violation charge and was on pre-trial release. He is being held in jail without bond.
