Police looking for driver in deadly Phoenix hit-and-run

PHOENIX - Phoenix police are asking for the public’s help to find the suspect in a deadly hit-and-run.

The crash happened at 10:50 p.m. on Thursday, just north of 16th Street and Indian School Road.

According to police, a 34-year-old man was walking in the street when he was hit by a vehicle. Witnesses told police the suspect’s vehicle was a white or silver pickup truck. 

The driver of the truck did not stop and continued driving, police said. 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified.
