Phoenix police are investigating after a man was shot and killed near 28th Street and Cactus Road.
Police on scene say there was an altercation between an 18-year-old man and another person inside a home when the shooting occurred. The victim, who is said to have been staying at the home with the suspect, succumbed to the injuries at the scene.
The victim's name and age weren't immediately released, but police say he could possibly be in his teens.
The suspect reportedly walked out of the home after the shooting and still had a gun with him. A neighbor was able to calm the suspect down and called 911.
there is no immediate indication that the incident involved a burglary or forced entry.
