Police are investigating after a dog was found hanged in a Phoenix neighborhood.
Phoenix police Sgt. Alan Pfohl said officers responded to the area near 22nd Avenue and Indian School after being alerted by residents.
A detective from the department's Animal Cruelty Squad was called out to investigate the incident, while Arizona Humane Society workers responded to pick up the dog.
