Phoenix police say the death of a man whose body was found in an alley appears to be accidental.
The body of 26 year old Malachi Elisa Muhammad was found late Thursday afternoon in an alley along North Seventh Street in midtown Phoenix.
Sgt. Jonathan Howard says rumors are circulating that Muhammad was the victim of a hate crime but he says there is no evidence to support that.
Howard didn't release specifics on the manner of death but he said all the evidence gathered so far leads investigators to believe the death was accident and "involving only the victim and his actions."
