Police are investigating after two bars in Phoenix were targeted by armed robbers.

Officers were called on Tuesday night to Pat O’s Bunkhouse Saloon near 7th and Turney avenues after two people were allegedly robbed in the parking lot, authorities said.

The victims told officers that two male suspects approached the pair and at least one was holding a gun, a police spokesperson said. The alleged robbers made off with one cell phone which was later recovered by police.

About an hour after receiving reports about the first incident, officers responded to 911 calls about a second armed robbery at Los Diablo’s Bar near Indian School Road and 12th Street.

According to officials, the suspects demanded cell phones and wallets from people sitting on the bar's patio.

Witnesses descriptions of the suspects were similar to the men involved in the first incident, police said.

No arrests have been made in connection to the case, but police are working to get video from witnesses who were at Los Diablo's Bar.

Both bars are known to be frequented by the LGBTQ community.

An investigation is ongoing.

Phoenix police tell ABC15 that on that same night at a similar time, there were reports of a burglary at the Southwest Center for HIV/AIDS, but this crime does not seem to be connected to the robberies.
