Phoenix Police officers tell ABC15 a man has life-threatening injuries after he was found with a stab wound to the neck.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday near 3rd and Moreland streets in Phoenix.
Police were called to the scene after an anonymous call of an injured person in the area. Once arrived they discovered a male approximately 50 years old suffering from a stabbing injury.
Officers on the scene tell ABC15 it wasn't clear if the incident happened at that location or if the victim was dropped off or had stumbled from another location.
Detectives say it's also unknown if the stabbing victim had been in a fight or robbed because there were no witnesses in the area.
The incident is under investigation. Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area around midnight or anyone who may have information concerning this assault to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
