Phoenix VA Director Deborah Amdur retires after 25 years

The Department of Veterans Affairs has announced the Phoenix director has retired.

Deborah Amdur is retiring for personal health reasons, the Department said.

"We owe a debt of gratitude to Ms. Amdur for her tireless service to America's Veterans, said Dr. David J. Shulkin, Under Secretary for Health.

Amdur worked in Department of Veterans Affairs for more than 25 years in various places across the Valley.

Barbara Fallen will serve as the Acting Director of the Phoenix VA.

Fallen has been with the VA for more than 35 years.
