Phoenix renters...your monthly payment is probably a real steal compared to other major U.S. cities.
A one-bedroom in the Golden Gate City will run you $3,500 monthly, according to a report just released by apartmentlist.com. The average for the same apartment in Phoenix $730 a month.
The top three most expensive out of the list of 100 are San Francisco, New York and Washington DC. The website reports average rents nationwide increased by 4.9% for a 1 bedroom and 4.0% for a 2 bedroom between October 2014 and October 2015.
The three cheapest cities to rent in? Toledo, OH, Huntsville, AL, Fort Wayne, IN. All average well under $500 a month.
