PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is investigating remains that were found in a large water vault just north of a canal.
Police began investigating Tuesday afternoon and believe the remains found near 40th Street and Van Buren Road are human bones.
Police are working to figure out if the remains are male or female, and how long they have been there.
Police have not said if there is any information to lead to a possible suspect.
