A suspect is in custody after police found a woman dead inside a Phoenix apartment Friday afternoon.
Phoenix police said the 20-year-old's body was discovered at the complex, located near 19th and Glendale avenues, as officers were investigating a shots fired call.
Responding officers were first called to the area after reports that a driver's vehicle had been shot at.
No injuries were reported in the initial call, but as police investigated, they located the victim's body. The incident is reportedly being treated as a homicide.

A suspect in the woman's death was detained a block away after running from the complex.
Sgt. Vince Lewis said the two incidents are not related.
Police said investigations into both shootings are ongoing.
