The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a two vehicle accident that happened on Sunday.
Officers reported on scene near Thomas Road and 40th Street around 11:30 a.m.
Two vehicles were involved and three people were transported to the hospital with serious injuries, police say.
Witnesses told police that one of the vehicles stopped at the red light at Thomas Road.
Drivers are advised to use caution in this area as the collision affected the traffic controls.
