Phoenix police say they have arrested a man in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man on Thursday.
Joshua Leonard, 39, is being booked into jail on a count of first-degree murder.
According to police, just before 7 a.m. officers responded to a report of a death at an apartment near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road.
Officers located Gilbert Allard with obvious signs of trauma.
After speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence, police say they identified Leonard as the suspect in the case.
On Sunday, officers located Leonard at the bus station trying to leave Phoenix. He was taken into custody without incident.
Police say the two men had recently met and their relationship was reportedly based on illegal drug use.
