The calls are linked to the last seven of the 11 total shootings being investigated. The seven calls do not have a suspect associated to them.

The suspect in the first four shootings, Leslie Merritt Junior, is linked to the first four shootings dating back to August 27 according to police.

The 911 calls also contain many tipsters who called to report suspicious activity. But the most dramatic calls came from those reporting their windows had been shot out.

The eighth shooting took place September 8 around 5:30 a.m. A box truck was driving near Interstate 10 and 35th Avenue when a window was shattered.

CALLER: "I was in the middle lane."

DISPATCH: "Um hum."

CALLER: "And out of nowhere, a loud boom, exploded. And I mean I had glass flying through the truck."

DISPATCH: "Are you hurt?"

CALLER: "I'm not, I just got glass all over my hair, my back, and my body."

Just minutes later, and in nearly the same area, a Phoenix police sergeant’s personal vehicle’s window was shattered.

The suspect in the first four shootings, Leslie Merritt Junior, is linked to the first four shootings dating back to August 27 according to police.

Merritt is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on September 29.
