The Phoenix Fire Department is hosting a fundraiser barbecue for the family of Captain Chris Fitzmaurice Saturday.
Fitzmaurice was killed in a tragic ATV crash near Flagstaff the day after Thanksgiving. Fitzmaurice’s funeral was held Thursday.
The barbecue is underway and runs until 6 p.m. Saturday at the fire station location at Glendale and 7th avenues.
If you can’t make the barbecue, a GoFundMe account has been set up for his wife and four young daughters as well.
