A Phoenix-bound flight from Chicago was diverted to Des Moines, Iowa Friday because of an "electrical odor" on-board.
American Airlines spokesperson Ross Feinstein said Flight 2023 departed Chicago O'Hare International Airport at 10:45 a.m. and was diverted to Des Moines International Airport in Iowa.
The plane landed safety at 11:15 a.m.
There were 190 passengers and 6 crew members on-board.
Passengers would be re-booked on a new flight to Phoenix, said Feinstein. Passengers who had connections would be re-booked on a flight to Dallas, Texas.
No other details were released.
