An auto body shop owner found over 100 pounds of marijuana packed into the bumper, fender and truck of a car, shocking the man who just bought it at an auction dealer.

Only ABC15 was there to see marijuana hiding in almost every square inch of the 2013 Ford Mustang. It was duct taped to the car’s frame, only discovered with the shop took off the bumper.

“It went through all these hands and nobody noticed,” said John Caswell from Caswell Auto Body.

Caswell said he has never seen anything like it before.

“I feel kind of flabbergasted,” said Caswell.

The more he kept looking, the more pot kept turning up.

“Who knows if there's some in the doors,” said Caswell.

The man who dropped the car off for routine body work gets a lot of work done at this shop. He works for a wholesale shop that sells used cars.

He paid $13,000 for the Mustang that was repossessed in El Paso, Texas and auctioned off in the Valley. He told ABC15 he will get a refund for the car.

“I don't know how many months this has been in here,” said Caswell. “But it slipped through the cracks.”

Phoenix police poked around and drove the Mustang off the lot.

“They're not going to disassemble it,” said Caswell. “It’s just going to be torn apart.”

Caswell says luckily they found the marijuana now, so the car wasn’t fixed up and sold to an unsuspecting owner.
