PHOENIX — A lawsuit looking to overturn a city of Phoenix anti-discrimination ordinance is still pending before the Arizona Supreme Court six months after oral arguments.

The lawsuit, brought by wedding invitation company Brush & Nib, sought to overturn the city ordinance that required businesses to serve customers regardless of the patron's sexual orientation.

The state's highest court, unlike the U.S. Supreme Court, has no requirements that it must rule on cases by a certain time, meaning the decision could be held off indefinitely, according to the Arizona Capitol Times.
