PHOENIX — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a car in central Phoenix on Thursday evening.
According to Phoenix police, a vehicle struck a person near 23rd Avenue and Indian School Road around 8 p.m.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital in extremely critical condition, police say.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene. An investigation is ongoing.
