PHOENIX — A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a truck in Phoenix Tuesday night.
The incident happened around 9:15 p.m. near 31st Street and Indian School Road.
Phoenix police tell ABC15, the man was crossing mid-block and using a walker when he was hit.
The victim was identified as 89-year-old Robert T. Breznay.
Indian School Road was closed in both east and westbound directions while police worked to clear the scene.
The driver, a 61-year-old woman in a Ford Raptor, stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers. Speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
