PHOENIX, AZ — A 49-year-old man is recovering after being shot multiple times in west Phoenix Sunday afternoon.
Officers were called to the area of 43rd Avenue and Van Buren Street around 2:10 p.m. to investigate a shooting call in the area.
When police arrived, they found the victim who had been shot several times. Officers say he was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The victim and suspect know each other and the shooting happened after the two got into a verbal altercation, according to Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson.
Police are still looking for the suspect who took off on his motorcycle.
