Police say a man is dead after an argument at a north Phoenix apartment complex overnight.
Officers were called to check on an injured person near 7th Street and Hatcher Road around 11 p.m. Wednesday.
Police found a 34-year-old man in a walkway with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
While at the scene, police located the suspect, only identified this time as another man. He has been detained.
Investigators have learned so far that the shooting occurred during an argument between the two men, who are believed to be known to each other.
This homicide investigation is ongoing.
