PHOENIX, AZ — Police say one person was shot during a fight in Phoenix on Monday night.
Officers were called to a residence near Interstate 17 and Bethany Home Road around 8 p.m.
Police say a fight occurred and the victim fired a shot, causing the group of suspects to flee. However, one suspect made it into the victim’s apartment and the victim fired a shot at the suspect.
The suspect was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive.
The victim was still on scene when police arrived and was detained.
The investigation is underway.
