Police say a driver who failed to stop for police died in a crash around 11 p.m. Sunday.
According to information from the scene, officers pursued a truck near 15th Avenue and Indian School Road. The driver continued down the road and didn't stop for police until crashing the truck into a wall near 15th Avenue and McDowell Road.
Police say the driver, only identified as a man at this time, was killed in the crash.
Officials say the driver was involved in an earlier aggravated assault incident but did not give further information.
McDowell Road should be reopened by rush hour, officials say. However, 15th Avenue is expected to remain closed for some time.
