Police say a 45-year-old man was hit and killed on Thursday night in Phoenix.
The crash happened near 36th Street and McDowell Road around 10 p.m.
According to witnesses, police say the victim, identified as Robert Garcia, was at a strip mall and then attempted to cross McDowell Road just west of the intersection.
An eastbound vehicle hit Garcia, causing serious injuries. Garcia was taken to the hospital where he died.
Police say the 41-year-old woman driving the vehicle stayed at the scene. Neither speed nor impairment appear to be factors in the crash.
