PHOENIX — Officials say a 20-year-old man is behind bars after shooting and killing a 33-year-old man in Phoenix on Sunday night.
Police say Idelfonso Castillo Del Real, 20, got into a fight with Rafael Lopez-Sanchez in a parking lot near 48th Street and Thomas Road around 8:15 p.m.
The altercation led to 33-year-old Lopez-Sanchez being shot. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Police say Castillo Del Real fled the scene, but police located him and arrested him on Monday.
He was booked into jail and charged with the victim’s murder.
