A man is accused of using a Taser on a police officer in Scottsdale.

Police were called to a home near Greenway Road and 56th Street after receiving reports about a domestic violence incident.

According to a police spokesperson, when officers arrived 26-year-old Thomas Berry was seen punching a door and destroying multiple other items inside the home.

When officers attempted to place him in custody, Berry allegedly attempted to grab one of the officer's guns, authorities say. He did manage to get ahold of an officer's Taser, however, and shot one cartridge in an officer's leg.

Berry was charged with aggravated assault on police and resisting arrest. His mug shot has not yet been released.
