PHOENIX — Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run crash in Phoenix late Thursday night.
The crash happened just before midnight near 7th Street and Broadway Road.
Police say the pedestrian, identified as 73-year-old Gerald J. Vanacore, was hit by a maroon-colored SUV.
The vehicle fled the scene and has not yet been located.
Vanacore was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
