PHOENIX — Phoenix police have arrested a man after a body was found at the scene of an alley fire Wednesday.

The alley fire was reported near 27th Avenue and Thomas Road. When Phoenix fire and police units arrived, they found a man dead among the flames.

On Friday police announced that they arrested 35-year-old James Parenteau for arson, abandonment/concealment of a dead body and vehicle theft.

Police have identified 41-year-old Mario Galindo as the victim in this case.

It's unclear if Parenteau had known the victim before the incident. Details on Galindo’s death and what exactly led to the alley fire have not been released.
