A Valley man was arrested for drunk driving and carjacking a woman.

According to court documents, Saturday November 28, 43-year-old Oscar Valenzuela was driving erratically and at high speeds near Loop 202 and 40th Street.

Witnesses saw Valenzuela weaving in and out of traffic even getting onto the landscaping on the side of the road.

At the intersection of the 202 and 40th Street, he ran a red light causing a non-injury accident.

He exited the vehicle he attempted to carjack several cars. When he tried to get into one woman's car, she drove away with him hanging onto the hood of her car.

When he fell off the car she stopped fearing she would run him over, but Valenzuela got up and got into her car forcing her to drive away.

The victim spotted a police car and pulled over near him and Valenzuela was arrested.

He admitted to police that he was drunk saying he drank a half a bottle of Canadian Whiskey. A blood alcohol test showed his blood-alcohol content at .158.

Valenzuela also claimed he was fleeing unknown people who wanted to kill him.
