PHOENIX — You know how it seems to rain every time you get a car wash or plan an outdoor event? Thousands of people are planning to bank on that stroke of bad luck all at once.

A Facebook event has been created, asking everyone in Phoenix to wash their cars on August 30 so the Valley will finally see some monsoon moisture.

"You may also consider planning a giant outdoor birthday for a three or four year old complete with bouncy house, grilling, and live entertainment. Events like this almost always guarantee rain will occur even if the forecast for the entire week guarantees sunshine and nice temps," the event reads.

The cheeky Facebook group has more than 2,000 people who have RSVP'd to "attend" in hopes of seeing some much-needed rain.

There are slight rain chances in the forecast this it's up to you to decide whether we could use the extra push for a wet monsoon storm!

This season has so far ranked among the driest for many parts of the state.
