Police are investigating after an apparent attempted robbery that turned deadly early Friday morning.
According to information from the scene near 27th Avenue and Camelback Road, one person has been confirmed dead.
Police first received a call about shots fired around 3:30 a.m. during what police believe was an attempted robbery at an apartment complex. The person who was shot was reportedly driven to a shopping complex nearby where they were pronounced dead.
Two suspects, believed to be two black men who fled in a red car, have yet to be located. Police are still working on a better suspect description.
At this time, police do not believe the shooting is connected to the ongoing serial street shooter investigation.
