MCACC says their previous free adoption event was very successful in clearing kennels, however, they still have further to go.

On Saturday, Sept. 2, MCACC had 750 animals in their care at their West shelter alone, including 700 dogs. The West shelter is built to house 350 animals.

Since Saturday, more than 400 animals have been adopted. With more animals also brought in since then, they're still caring for 530 animals.
