A Maricopa County grand jury has indicted a man on six counts of sexual assault in cases from 2003 to 2006.
Authorities say 28-year-old Michael Paladino is in custody and facing a Jan. 29 court date.
It was unclear Monday if he has an attorney.
County prosecutors received notification in April that a previously untested sexual assault kit from 2005 had come back with a match to Paladino's DNA.
Authorities then found Paladino was listed as a suspect in multiple sexual assault cases in the Phoenix metro area and many of the victims were juveniles at the time.
Paladino was arrested last month for a non-related driving offense and gave investigators the opportunity to interview him in relation to the sexual assaults.
He has denied the allegations of sexual assault.
