Phoenix Police are looking for a man who threatened a sporting goods store last week with a bomb during an attempted robbery.
According to Silent Witness, a man carrying a box entered the Big 5 Sporting Goods store near 36th Street and Thomas Road on Dec. 3.
He demanded the clerk give him money, but when she didn't comply, he said the box had a bomb inside.
The box was left behind after the man left the store but responding police determined it was not a danger.
Police describe the suspect as a white man about 55 years old. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 190 pounds. In security footage, he was last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black and white plaid shirt and dark pants.
