Man stabbed outside Circle K overnight in Phoenix near 16th and Roosevelt streets

One man has been taken to the hospital after being stabbed several times outside a Circle K near 16th and Roosevelt streets early Saturday morning.

Witnesses say the victim was asleep in his vehicle when the suspect approached him and started attacking him.

The victim was stabbed three times, including once in the neck, and has been taken to the hospital.

The driver was eventually able to back his vehicle away to protect himself. He’s expected to survive his injuries. 

Police have not said what led to the attack.

Police say they're looking for a Hispanic male in his 20's, wearing light colored clothing.
