Motorists may want to avoid southbound Interstate 17 during their morning commute while delays continue to ease out after a crash.
The wreck occurred along southbound I-17 near 7th Avenue around 7 a.m. and blocked the right lanes forcing traffic to get by on the left lane.
The crash was cleared around 8:30 a.m., but backups were reported at Thomas Road.
Arizona Department of Public Safety Duty Office said the crash involves multiple vehicles and injuries have been reported, but the severity of those injuries were not known.
