Dominic Draye, who previously served as Solicitor General of Arizona, has joined the Phoenix office of Greenberg Traurig LLP.

Draye has been named a shareholder in the firm's litigation practice. Draye, who had been Deputy Solicitor General for two years, took over as Solicitor General, a position within the state Attorney General's office, in January 2017 and left the office in March of this year.

Draye had replaced John Lopez, who had left the Solicitor General post after being appointed to the Arizona Supreme Court.

“Dominic is a stellar litigator and appellate specialist who adds great expertise and depth to our litigation group in Arizona and nationally,” Global Litigation Practice co-chairs Lori Cohen and Jeff Scott said in a joint statement. “With Dominic, we have added a nationally renowned appellate specialist who can serve our clients throughout the nation.”
