PHOENIX — A first-alarm fire left two Phoenix homes damaged early Monday morning.
Phoenix Fire Department crews were called to the scene near 27th Avenue and Bethany Home Road around 3:45 a.m. When they arrived, they found that a working fire at one home was spreading to the house next door.
An elderly couple and their dog escaped the fire at the initial home, and the homeowner at the second home was also able to get out safely.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
