Phoenix police said a 22-year-old man was driving eastbound on Campbell Avenue and turned left to travel northbound on 19th Avenue.

While making the turn, a 36-year-old woman and her three daughters were crossing the street in the crosswalk.

According to police, the driver hit the family of four. They were all transported to the hospital to be treated for their injuries.

A 36-year-old woman, a 6-year-old, and an 11-year-old sustained serious injuries. A 7-year-old sustained a critical injury that is considered life-threatening.

The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with police. He was later arrested after showing signs of impairment.
