Phoenix firefighters and HAZMAT crews had their hands full battling a large garage fire Thursday night.
Crews were called to the scene near 16th Street and Northern Avenue around 9:30 p.m.
Firefighters say Southwest Gas crews are working to repair a severed gas line in the area.
Officials say two people and two dogs were removed from the area and didn't suffer any injuries.
Two cars were in the detached garage at the time of the fire and are a total loss, crews say.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
