Phoenix firefighters credit a neighbor coming home from church with alerting a family to a firethat started in the garage.

The fire, which ignited around 2 p.m. in a home near 36th Street and McDowell Road, spread to the attic. The neighbor told two people inside that they needed to get out.

Crews were able to bring the fire under control, and no injuries were reported, according to Capt. Ardell Deliz.

Investigators were still working to determine how the fire started. There was no immediate estimate on the value of the damage.

At least three people will be displaced as a result of the fire.
