The community gathered Thursday morning to pay respects for a Phoenix Police officer killed in the line of duty.
Officer David Glasser was gravely wounded by a burglary suspect on May 18. He was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, leaving behind a wife and two children.
Family, friends and fellow officers gathered Wednesday for a private visitation before Thursday's 10 a.m. funeral services at Christ's Church of the Valley in Peoria.

A procession to Phoenix Memorial Park and Cemetery, near Loop 101 and 7th Avenue, followed the services.
Drivers in the area should expect traffic in the area between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., according to Peoria Police.
Several fundraisers and benefits have been set up to help the Glasser family.
